Two Snow Days, One Honors Thesis and One Career Fair

January 29, 2009

Sometimes two days of freezing rain, sleet and snow is all a person needs to regain sanity.  OSU closed campus Monday at 2 p.m. and it will reopen Thursday, but those two days were awesome.  Filled with working out, preparing for the Career Fair and watching movie after movie has completely renewed my passion for excelling at school and getting a job.  All anyone needs is a bit of relaxation and Jon and Kate Plus 8 to revive the spirit!

Now after the two days of being in an ice cave, I have decided to become very productive.  I am actively working on my honors contract.  The theme?  Looking in depth into why Journalism and Broadcasting students and professionals choose a particular school for their undergraduate studies.  Any help will be greatly appreciated as it will take all semester, and I’m sure countless all nighters.  But I am looking forward to researching and gaining knowledge that is actually interesting to me.  Finally, what college is REALLY about!

I also am looking forward to the Career Fair tomorrow.  So many students, too many resumes and even fewer job openings.  However, I’m feeling excited and interested into what this business fair will offer.  Opportunities (and jobs) are there (hopefully).  Either way, I’m ready to get my name out there.  So, here is my tag line: Public Relations Enthusiast with Fabulous Writing Style (and Shoe Collection).  I hope I stand out among the other hopeful graduates, so here goes nothing!

Other than that, I hope everyone else is being as productive as me.  It just feels so good.
